Sarah Paterson, MPT, BScKin
Sarah’s physiotherapy philosophy recognizes the importance of individualized care plans which seek to address more than physical ailments alone. She uses a multifaceted approach, with a focus on strengthening and active recovery, to achieve each client’s personal goals.
Sarah grew up in the town of Gibsons, on the Sunshine Coast of BC. It was here that she found a passion for dance. After 15 years of practicing, Sarah received her Dance Teacher Certification and taught a variety of classes for children aged 3 to 11. Through these experiences, Sarah discovered her interest in the healthcare sciences.
Sarah completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. During this time she began working in the field of sports therapy, volunteering as an athletic trainer at the Velox Valhalians Rugby Football Club for over 2 years. After graduating, Sarah worked as a Registered Kinesiologist for a multidisciplinary clinic, independently running an occupational rehabilitation program in Victoria.
Sarah received her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. She has continued to gain experience in sports physiotherapy at many different sporting events, the highlight being the World Rugby Sevens tournament at BC Place.
Sarah’s background in dance, sports therapy, and occupational rehabilitation allows her to effectively address a wide variety of client presentations. With these assets, Sarah is confident that she can meet your physiotherapy needs.
