Ranko Vukovic MPT, BHKin

Ranko’s interests lie in sports medicine with the primary focus being on orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries. His study of human movement and manual therapy has led him to persue a greater understanding of how the body works. Particularly with respect to incorporating dynamic strength into the physiotherapy rehabilitation process, while at the same time working to decreasing pain and educating the client along the way.

Ranko attained his Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia in 2015.

Prior to starting his Physiotherapy career, Ranko graduated from the UBC in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics. During his undergrad, Ranko worked as a research assistant for Terry Fox Labs at BC Cancer Research Centre and also for the Centre for Hip Health & Musculoskeletal Research at VGH.

As a personal trainer and Kinesiologist, Ranko customized training programs and provided his diverse group of clients with education and motivation to achieve their personal health fitness goals. During the 2010 Winter Olympics, Ranko volunteered with the Serbian 2010 Olympic Committee as a NOC Assistant. Ranko previously was a practicing member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK), a member of BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer and is certified in FMS.

Ranko is fluent in the Serbian language and has post-graduate training in treating jaw pain, otherwise known as Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) and Orofacial Pain. Ranko has post graduate education in IMS (Functional Dry Needling), ShockWave Therapy, Mobilization with Movement and Kinetic Link Training.

Ranko enjoys playing basketball, swimming, and bike riding during the summer months while in winter, he skis the slopes of beautiful British Columbia.
