Kinesiologists are university-educated health professionals who study the dynamics of human movement. With their in-depth knowledge of the human body and how it moves, they apply exercise and movement science to promote health and wellbeing; prevent, manage and rehabilitate injuries through active rehab; treat illness and chronic disease; restore function, and optimize human performance in the workplace, clinical settings, sport and fitness. A Kinesiologist can be your own personal trainer and design a strength and conditioning program to help you reach your goals.

Every extended health plan is different. You will need to check the details of your plan. Some plans will cover Kinesiology through a Health Spending Account.
On your first visit, your Kinesiologist will do a functional movement assessment of you to determine where your strengths and weaknesses are. Based on that assessment, they will build a program for you, and guide you through your exercises at each visit.
You will be active and moving throughout the session. Wear comfortable, flexible clothing that you can easily bend, stretch, and sweat in!
In conjunction with physiotherapy, Active Rehabilitation will keep you motivated to get well by being on a structured movement and exercise-based program specific to the injuries you sustained in the accident. Knowing that you have someone to guide you, one-on-one, through an exercise program 1-2 times per week keeps you on top of your rehab with no excuses! The sooner we get moving, safely, following any injury, the better our bodies heal.
