Elisse Miki, RMT, BHKin
Elisse holds a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from UBC, a Registered Massage Therapy diploma from West Coast College of Massage Therapy and a diploma in Physical Education from Langara College. Having also worked as both an active rehabilitation therapist and personal trainer, she brings over 10 years experience in helping clients achieve optimal physical capacity and recovery from injury.
Elisse incorporates a variety of techniques to tailer treatments to suit each individual’s needs. These include myofascial release, joint mobilizations, muscle energy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation alongside with a movement based assessment and corrective exercise prescription. She has been involved in athletic training for many years and has had the opportunity to work with a variety of professional athletes including those at the Canada Rugby Sevens Tournament at BC Place. She has also worked with the BC Lions, Toronto Argonauts, and Curl BCs junior high performance and Olympic training teams as well as multiple Ironman competitors.
In addition to her work at the clinic, Elisse is also an Instructor and Clinic Supervisor in the RMT program at Vancouver Career College. Here she spends time educating students in preparation for entry to level practice. Always looking to further her education, Elisse is currently completing her Equine Therapist Certification at Kheiron College of Equine Therapy. She has always had a passion for horses and riding and is excited to be able to combine her interests and education in order to expand her practice towards equine sport performance and therapy. In her spare time, Elisse also owns and manages a pleasure trail riding company hosting rides through Campbell Valley Park.
